PROJECT TO STIMULATE NEW OFFSHORE GAS PIPELINES COULD BECOME THE AGENDA OF CONGRESS IN BRAZIL
A expansão da malha de gasodutos offshore pode virar pauta do Congresso brasileiro, conforme projeto apresentado pelo deputado federal e senador eleito, Laércio Oliveira (PP/SE). O projeto pretende reduzir a reinjeção e estimular investimentos na infraestrutura de escoamento do gás natural para o mercado.
Uma das propostas levantadas é reduzir as participações governamentais (como royalties e participações especiais) cobradas dos produtores como contrapartida pelo aumento da oferta de gás aos consumidores.
A criação de estímulos às novas rotas de gasodutos offshore é um assunto que tem aparecido com frequência no Congresso, principalmente no ano de 2022.
As ideias do projeto já foram apresentadas ao ministro de Minas e Energia para eventual apoio governamental.

The expansion of the offshore gas pipeline network could become the agenda of the Brazilian Congress, according to a project presented by the federal deputy and elected senator, Laércio Oliveira (PP/SE). The project aims to reduce re-injection and encourage investments in the infrastructure for transporting natural gas to the market.
One of the proposals raised is to reduce government participation (such as royalties and special participations) charged from producers in return for increasing the supply of gas to consumers.
The creation of incentives for new offshore pipeline routes is a subject that has frequently appeared in Congress, especially in the year 2022.
The project ideas have already been presented to the Minister of Mines and Energy for possible government support.
