Rafael Lyrio holds a bachelor degree from IBMEC, with a solid academic background. In his training, he completed an MBA in Tax Law from FGV / RJ, LLM in Corporate Law from IBMEC and attended the Tax Jurisprudence Project of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF). He is also Master in Tax Law at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.

Fluent in English, he also has valuable experience in areas that touch the business reality, and especially tax issues, acquired in years of working in the private and public sector.

Lyrio works in the preparation of defenses and appeals in tax administrative and judicial proceedings, as well as in lawsuits questioning the requirement of illegally levied taxes at the municipal, state and federal levels.

In his advisory role, he has vast knowledge to offer consistent analyses and opinions on tax issues, taking into account the legislation and the guidance of administrative and judicial jurisprudence, always with the aim of anticipating harmful situations to customers, preventing possible conflicts with tax authorities.
